Weald of Kent and Aphrodite Hills Cyprus

We had a superb day last Monday playing in the golf day at The Weald of Kent (1st tee photo below).

Met some great people and more importantly met some of our customers who are going on our Escorted Tours to South Africa.

Jacques (Gous) and his staff really put on a cracking day and it was a pleasure to attend, well done to all :)

Now the next trip is here, I am off to see one off our resorts in Cyprus, Aphrodite Hills!

I haven't been to Cyprus before so I am always excited about going to a new destination and experiencing a new culture, of course I won't lie and say the 30+ heat isn't an attraction ;)

I am typing this whilst sitting in the Club Europe cabin with BA on route to Paphos so I will update you all on my return next week.

Golf Day at Weald If Kent GC

Just arrived in England as Mark (Our MD) and I are attending a golf day at Weald of Kent Golf Course tomorrow!

The day has been organised in collaboration with PGA Pro Jacques Gous who will be taking Chaka Travels clients on escorted tours to South Africa starting in November.

We are going to warm up this evening with a few beers in the company of Jacques :)

Thailand

Hi everyone, just a quick update from me.

Mark and Stuart from our office flew out to Thailand in Saturday past for a 7 night whirlwind trip!

They will be playing at least 18 holes everyday and visiting some excellent properties that we feature!

I will update you all on their return and expect some excellent offers for Thailand in the coming weeks.

Springing into Spring with Chaka Travels New Brochure

Hi all, Well, we are finally starting to see longer lighter evenings and of course wakening up to bright crisp mornings always puts a smile on my face! Chaka Travel have been very busy over the Winter designing our first ever golf brochure in which we feature our top destinations. End of a Great Trip

Well, Mark and I have arrived back into a very cold UK after 7 amazing nights in Cancun and the Riviera Maya!

In fact it's 31c colder in the UK, 28 to -3 in 10 hours!

We ended our trip with a 2 night stay in Dreams Riviera Cancun Hotel, an excellent family hotel which would be ideal for weddings where children can be catered for.

We also visited Secrets Silversands, Secrets Maroma and Now Sapphire.

Both Silversands and Maroma are truly outstanding adult only hotels which ooze luxury but at the same time offer all guests a very warm welcoming feel.

Now Sapphire is another great option for families looking excellent kids facilities or again an excellent destination for a family wedding.

All in all Cancun and the Riviera Maya have some superb hotels which can cater for all types of clients and budgets.

Moon Palace to Dreams Riviera Cancun

Well, Mark and I checked out of the Moon Palace Hotel this morning after spending 3 nights there.

We played all 27 holes, on the excellent Moon Palace course. The course is made up of 3 nines named, Jungle, Dunes and Lakes and each offer their own individual challenges!

Unfortunately I lost the money to the boss but I wasn't surprise after not clearing the ladies tee with one of my tee shots!

Moon Palace is a great resort, plenty to do and see and of course having the unlimited golf is a great addition to the property.

We have now checked into the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort for our final two nights and first impressions are excellent.

I will be back with an update over the next few days.

I'm off now to sunbathe and enjoy a few ice cold Cervezas by the pool :)
